TFSS is seeking applications for the following positions vacant:

  • The part-time (25 hours per week) fixed-term (until 30th June 2019) Staying Home Leaving Violence Support Worker will be part of the Domestic Violence Team within our Homelessness Services Stream. The support worker position will assist in delivering the Staying Home Leaving Violence program, working with women aged 18 years and over in the Inverell area who have separated from a violent partner or family member and who choose to remain in their own home or a home of their choice. The successful applicant will be able to work independently, and relate to young people and families with complex needs.   • The part-time (19 hours per week) fixed term (until 30th June 2020) Tamworth Youth Homelessness Case Worker will be part of the Homelessness Team, delivering services to 16-24 year old young people who are homeless or a risk of homelessness. This position includes weekend and night work, providing living skills and support. The successful applicant will be able to work independently, and relate to young people with complex needs.   • The casual Children’s Contact Service Worker position/s will be part of the Children’s Services team in Tamworth. The role is to work with parents and children where the family is going through separation or divorce. The service provides contacts which are supervised by workers with the non-custodial parent and their children at our Children’s Contact Services (CCS) in Belmore Street, West Tamworth.  For more information including the selection criteria and how to apply please click here.

  • The casual Youth Homelessness Case Worker position/s, based in Tamworth, will assist young homeless people to break the cycle of homelessness as well as focus on those at risk of homelessness that can be supported to remain in long-term safe accommodation.   • Your up to date resume, including three work-related referees (a minimum of one must be from within the previous 3 years) and,
  • A document titled “Selection Criteria” outlining how you meet each of Competencies and Outcomes (Essential and Desirable Criteria) as listed in the following position description.

  2. Applicants satisfactorily meeting each of the essential criteria.
