Homeless Connect Day 2017

27 Jul 2017 10:00 AM

Homeless Connect Day or Community Connect Day is a one day event intended to connect homeless people or those at risk of homelessness, with a broad range of services and provide clothing and food to support immediate needs. It is designed as a 'one-stop-shop' for those who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or doing it tough.

Homelessness Connect Day is a not-for-profit event providing an opportunity for homeless people, service providers and the community to work together to create solutions to homelessness and for providers of services to network, learn collaboratively from one another and share best practice experiences. Support and connections offered may include housing, medical and dental issues, education, employment, legal, financial, recreation opportunities, identification issues, electoral enrolment, life skills, support for families and a number of services.

Music, entertainment and children's activities will be provided throughout the day, so come and join us at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Convention Centre (TRECC) from 10am to 3pm on Thursday 27th July 2017!

Homeless Connect Day is supported by a coalition of Governement, non-Government Organisations, Businesses, Community Groups and Volunteers from the New England North West.
