Work Placements
TFSS is committed to offering work placement opportunities for those undertaking qualifications within a Community Services Field.
Through the work placement program, TFSS endeavours to provide meaningful placements for students undertaking a relevant course through university or TAFE to assist with the required work placement component of their qualification.
TFSS regularly has positions available for those who wish to undertake a work placement with TFSS. All placements are arranged directly between the student, tertiary institution and TFSS’ Business Development Manager. If you are interested in applying to complete your placement with TFSS, email
If you have any questions pertaining to any of the above information please contact the Business Development Manager, Leigh, on 02 6763 2304.
Volunteering
The TFSS welcomes applications to volunteer from all people who want to make a difference, regardless of education, background or skill set. We regularly have volunteer opportunities available throughout the organisation to match a range of interests, skills and availabilities.
We facilitate a range of community programs and services in areas such as homelessness, domestic violence, court support, youth issues, parenting programs, emergency relief and playgroups – just to name a few. Each of these programs requires dedicated and committed people to join with our 90+ employees who work both on the front line and behind the scenes.
Volunteer roles are determined by each TFSS program and are developed to meet the specific needs of the service, location or clients. This means we often have a diverse range of volunteer opportunities available– from program assistants, fundraising assistants, professional service assistants (providing qualified advice around legal or business enquiries) and financial assistants.
A Working with Children Check is considered essential for all positions.
To apply, please complete the volunteer application form (available as either a Word Document or a PDF) and return to
