Program description

TFSS Family Advocacy and Support Service (FASS) assist women who have been or are currently affected by family and domestic violence and have a family law issue. Extended family members, including carers, can also access our service.

Staff work with women and families across Oxley and New England Police Districts to:

  • help you to better understand your legal problem and the choices you have
  • connect you with a FASS duty lawyer for free legal advice
  • provide information and support during your family law case
  • advocate on your behalf with Police, Housing and Victims Services
  • work out what you need help with and connect you with other specialist services
  • support accessing Centrelink
  • advocate in application for ADVO
  • safety planning for court and home
