Program description
TFSS Family Advocacy and Support Service (FASS) assist women who have been or are currently affected by family and domestic violence and have a family law issue. Extended family members, including carers, can also access our service.
Staff work with women and families across Oxley and New England Police Districts to:
- help you to better understand your legal problem and the choices you have
- connect you with a FASS duty lawyer for free legal advice
- provide information and support during your family law case
- advocate on your behalf with Police, Housing and Victims Services
- work out what you need help with and connect you with other specialist services
- support accessing Centrelink
- advocate in application for ADVO
- safety planning for court and home
